1st Sunday  9 - 10:45 am Choka (Morning Service Chanting), kinhin (walking meditation), zazen (meditation)
10:45 - 11:30 am Teisho (talk) or Dharma talk
11:30 - noon Samu (silent work practice/temple cleaning)
3rd Sunday 9 - 11:30 am Mandala Day Ceremony, kinhin, zazen
11:30 - noon Samu
noon - 1 pm Potluck Celebration
Other Sundays 9 - 11:30 am Choka, kinhin, zazen, plus dokusan (private interview with the teacher) on 2nd and 4th, unless Shinge Roshi is away.
11:30 - noon Samu
Monday - Saturday 6-6:40 am and 7-7:40 am Zazen
Tuesday morning 8:30 am - 9:30 am Zazen (Volunteer staff meeting after.)
Tuesday evening 6:30 pm - 8 pm Introduction to Meditation (in the Carriage House zendo), zazen and kinhin; last half-hour is tea and discussion in the Forman House.
Thursday 6 - 8 pm Zazen and instruction for first-time visitors and anyone new to meditation. Please email admin@hoenji.org if you are coming for the first time, and arrive at the front door of the Forman House (main building) by 5:50 p.m.
Tea and discussion on the first Thursday of the month led by Shinge Roshi or an advanced practitioner.
