Please join us for Fall Anniversary Sesshin at the Zen Center of Syracuse. Led by Shinge Roshi, the sesshin will be offered both in person and online.

This fall sesshin commemorates the founding of the Zen Center of Syracuse Hoenji 51 years ago in a small room on the Syracuse University campus. After a series of temporary spaces, the Sangha met in Shinge Roshi’s attic for 12 years, and then moved to its current six-acre home in 1996. She was installed as abbot on Oct. 18 of that year.

In-Person Attendance, Members: $220, Non-members: $275

In-person participants must observe Hoen-ji's Covid Protocols.  To register, please email admin@hoenji.org for details.

Online Participation, suggested contribution: $110-$175.

After you register, you will receive a confirmation email that includes payment instructions. A detailed schedule will be sent to online participants just before sesshin begins.

While we encourage full-time online participation, you may join us for as much as you can. Off-line time will be built into the schedule for meals, work practice at home and kinhin.

We want to make these offerings available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. If you cannot afford the minimum, then contribute what you can. If you can afford more, please consider giving at a higher level to help others. Your support is so important at this time, when income from our usual in-person programming has been reduced. Please help us continue our Dharma work.

If you have already registered, you may pay online by clicking the following button. Simply fill in the amount. Payment is secure and can be done using a credit card or a PayPal account.

Or, you may mail us a check at:
