Sokyu Ryan DeFranzo, a professional musician who has been a resident at New York Zendo Shobo-ji this year and earlier was a resident at Dai Bosatsu Zendo, will offer a piano performance as a benefit for Shobo-ji. The concert is his expression of gratitude for the zendo as a place where one can cultivate tranquility, insight and compassion within the clamor of New York City. His one-hour solo performance at Saint John’s in the Village will be followed by refreshments. You are welcome to attend in person or online.
