Ruth Ozeki and Shinge Roshi In Conversation

Renowned novelist Ruth Ozeki and Shinge Roshi held a dynamic and wide-ranging discussion about the intersection of Zen practice and creativity.

Ozeki read excerpts from her new novel, The Book of Form and Emptiness, which was recently named to the long list for the 2022 Women's Prize for Fiction.

The online webinar was attended by more than 80 practitioners and Dharma friends. Ozeki’s last novel, A Tale for the Time Being, was a 2013 Booker Prize finalist.
