Muslims across the globe celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, fasting from dawn until dusk. Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food, it is also about charity, empathy, and building character.

  • On Thursday, May 9, at 7:30 p.m., CNY Rise Center cordially invites you to the 6th annual Community Ramadan dinner at 275 W. Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse (across the street from the Zen Center). Iftar dinner will be served at 8:20 p.m., after a presentation, "United Against Violence." The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are necessary. RSVP by May 5 to cnyrise@gmail.com.
  • On Saturday, May 18, at 7 p.m., the Islamic Council of Greater Syracuse cordially invites you for The Iftar - 3rd Annual Syracuse Ramadan Dinner at Manley Field House, 1301 E. Colvin St., Syracuse. This is a FREE EVENT however, to reserve a seat, RSVP by May 8 to https://muslimcommunityiftar.eventbrite.com. The doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. and it is an adult only event.
