Dai Bosatsu Zendo Weekend Yoga Retreat
Renew, revitalize and refresh. We invite you to take the opportunity to regain your own rhythm and reconnect with yourself and with nature. Immerse yourself in two daily yoga sessions, practice zen meditation and pranayama (breath practice). An introduction to zen meditation will be offered for those wish to attend. Yoga prepares the body for zazen, zazen prepares the mind for yoga.
Our yoga teachers are Evalena Leedy and Ariel Kiley. Evalena is the founder of Yoga Sole in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn. Her style of yoga is guided by the energy and breath of Vinyasa, combined with alignment of Iyengar. Her passion is to invite and inspire others to explore yoga.
Ariel's classes emphasize precise physical alignment, an open-hearted attitude, attention to the present moment, and the supreme importance of having fun. Ariel believes yoga should not feel exclusive but should meet every practitioner exactly where they are.
Refresh your spirit by taking a leisurely walk around the lake, or hike through 1,400 acres of unspoiled forest. Enjoy three delicious vegetarian meals, plus snacks and tea and coffee throughout the day. Arrive Friday by 4pm for our opening Yoga Blend Restorative class and optional meditation. Depart Sunday 2pm and return home relaxed, revitalized and refreshed. No previous experience or expertise in Zen or yoga is needed. All levels of practice will be accommodated.
