Deep Presence, a five-week course in the cultivation of inner stillness and clear insight, will be offered by Shinge Sherry Chayat Roshi, Abbot of the Zen Center, in-person at the Zen Center, with an option to participate via Zoom. Five Tuesday evenings, 6-7:30 p.m., Jan. 30 – Feb. 27, 2024

Shinge Roshi will teach simple meditation techniques, including breath, posture, and basic principles of awareness. Afterwards, our group discussion will focus on breaking free of old patterns so that we can respond with wisdom and compassion no matter how difficult the circumstances of our lives. The course is designed for new meditators as well as for those with more experience who wish to renew the strength of their practice.

The suggested Course Fee for in-person is $125 ($80 for students/seniors) or $75 for Zoom only. We want to make these offerings available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay. If you cannot afford the suggested amount, then contribute what you can. If you can afford more, please consider giving at a higher level to help others. Thank you!
